Join OTAN and take a quick look at the tools, techniques and tips specifically created for busy adult ed. teachers. Every month a new topic will be covered where participants get tips, videos, articles, and individual questions answered!

APRIL 2019: Excelsior Online Writing Lab

This presentation will provide an overview of the free resources offered by the Excelsior Online Writing Lab, an open education resource that supports college-level reading and writing. The presentation will review the Online Writing Lab, the Online Reading Comprehension Lab, and Educator Resources such as how to embed content and create custom OWLs.

The OTAN Tech Talks are open forum where any adult educator or staff can present, unlike the OTAN Webinars which are hosted and facilitated by certified OTAN trainers. Due to the "open forum" model of the OTTs, certificates of attendance will NOT be awarded to attendees.

Minimum System Requirements for Participating in Online Workshops:

  • Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable modem or faster, no dial-up).
  • Computer with speakers or headphones (some classes require microphones too).
  • Active e-mail account through registration for the course as an OTAN member.
  • Some workshops have other special requirements, please read the workshop descriptions carefully.
