Join OTAN and take a quick look at the tools, techniques and tips specifically created for busy adult ed. teachers. Every month a new topic will be covered where participants get tips, videos, articles, and individual questions answered!

January 2019 Topic: Embedding Digital Literacy Skills into Adult ESL

In today's society, technology touches every part of our lives: work, school, home and communities. For busy adult learners, it is critical that necessary digital literacy and the 21st century skills are integrated into their ESL coursework. This OTT will share free tools and project ideas for embedding technology skills into Adult ESL lessons.

The OTAN Tech Talks are open forum where any adult educator or staff can present, unlike the OTAN Webinars which are hosted and facilitated by certified OTAN Trainers and Subject Matter Experts. Due to the "open forum" model of the OTTs, certificates of attendance will NOT be awarded to attendees.

Format Webinars: Synchronous online events of short duration (1-2 hours) in which subject matter experts present information.

Minimum System Requirements for Participating in Online Workshops:

  • Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable modem or faster, no dial-up).
  • Computer with speakers or headphones (some classes require microphones too).
  • Active e-mail account through registration for the course as an OTAN member.
  • Some workshops have other special requirements, please read the workshop descriptions carefully.
