Online Series on Postsecondary Transition from CALPRO

Posted on 09/22/2014

Have you been considering ways to help more of your students transition to community college, job training, or other postsecondary educational opportunities? In CALPRO's online Postsecondary Transitions courses, you will work in an agency team with your colleagues to develop a comprehensive plan for implementing an effective postsecondary transition program. In Session 1, participants identify best practices and strategies to implement a successful postsecondary transition program. In Session 2, participants assess their agency's degree of readiness to implement such a program and identify strategic leverage points for implementing their action plan.

This training is for agency teams committed to collaborating on the development and implementation of a plan for establishing or building on a bridge program. Agencies must apply as a team consisting of

  • an administrator, and at least one of the following two roles:
  • a student support services provider (a counselor or other individual whose role is to provide guidance/support/referrals to students)

Teams including all three roles are ideal.
