Posted on 01/25/2010

The California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO) is opening registration for its Study Circle Facilitation Training, available for the first time entirely online. With sessions beginning in March, 2010, the training is open to adult educators from California Department of Education, Adult Education Office funded Adult Schools and Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Title II-funded programs. Applicants may choose from two popular study circle topics – learner persistence or reading instruction.

Applications are due Feb. 5, 2010. Enrollment is limited and on a first-registered, first-served basis. The invitation letter and application are both available on the CALPRO Web site. For More Information, visit the Study Circles page on CALPRO’s Web site. Questions can be directed to CALPRO Research Analyst Amy Park (apark@air.org, 1-800-427-1422, option 3).
