CALPRO is back!! The California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO External link opens in new window or tab) offers free online professional development courses, including two that will begin in February. To get started, all you need is an e-mail account, Internet access, and an average of three hours per week scheduled at your convenience.

Through these online classes, you can exchange ideas with fellow educators and get feedback from a subject-expert facilitator. You also have the opportunity to participate in two online meetings in real time. Participants who complete a course successfully earn certificates of course completion (14 hours), and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are also available.

Registration is now open for two courses that begin in February:

  • Understanding the Adult Learner, Session 1: Adult Learning and Development
    February 5 to March 2, 2014
