COABE LAPCAE Conference

Mini-grants are now available to help defray the cost of attending the 2013 COABE LAPCAE National Conference, to be held March 24-28, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency, New Orleans, Louisiana. The History Channel's "Swamp People" star Troy Landry will be the keynote speaker at the Conference, which will feature professional development and networking opportunities.

To apply for the $350 mini-grants, go to the 2013 COABE Mini Grant Application. Recipients will be current members of COABE. The deadline for submitting the application is November 15, 2012. Applicants will be informed if they have won by December 1, 2012. Funding for the mini-grants is generously made possible by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

You can still submit a presentation proposal, with a deadline of November 30, 2012. Read more information about the proposals at Call for Presentations, and submit a proposal at Submit Proposal. Conference registration information is available at Registration.

The Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE) is organized to advance national and international adult education and literacy opportunities for all persons. LAPCAE is the Louisiana Association for Public, Community and Adult Education.
