CATESOL State Conference 2010 – Call for Proposals

CATESOL has announced a Call for Proposals for the 41st Annual State Conference, to be held April 22-25, 2010 in Santa Clara, California.

The theme of the 2010 Conference will be “Teaching and Learning in a Global Community,” with Sharmin Khan as Conference Chair, Program Co-chairs Sarah McGregor and Shannon Woodworth, and Site Chair Valerie Kiadeh.  The Conference will explore cultural issues, ideas and experiences related to teaching English locally and globally.

Participants are encouraged to submit a paper, demonstration, panel discussion/colloquium or poster session to share expertise with colleagues.  Important deadlines are:

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: November 13, 2009
  • Notification of Acceptance: January 4, 2010
  • Speaker Confirmation Request: January 14, 2010
  • Conference Dates: April 22-25, 2010
  • Presentations will be scheduled on Friday April 23 and Saturday April 24
