Technology Plan Now Available Online

The technology planning form required from all agencies with EL Civics Civic Participation funding was posted on August 1. The technology plan has several new features this year, most notably a completely new teacher skills survey. The survey is now only for teachers, and focuses on a broad definition of technology integration and on classroom as well as personal skills. Each teacher completing the survey has the option to create a professional development plan for themselves based on their survey results.
There are several other significant changes to the plan this year, based on feedback from a focus group of users, so it will be important to take advantage of online workshops offered in September by OTAN. To register for one of seven workshops, go to the California Adult Education Training Calendar and choose OTAN under Sponsor.
The technology plan is now included on the same site with all other CDE applications and reporting forms. Agencies have the option of changing technology plan login name and password to match those used for other applications and reports. Contact OTAN or CDE for help with converting all logins and passwords to one.
