DLAC Application Process

Applications may be completed online and are due by midnight on September 12, 2016. A team of distance learning experts and OTAN staff will review applications. The application process includes ALL of the following:

  • Create a Digital Leadership Academy account for tracking purposes
  • Nominate your agency team members
  • Online Form: Nomination by the program administrator (replies to 4 questions for each team member)
  • Confirm: Agency's Technology and Distance Learning Plan (OTAN will automatically link to your completed plan. Ensure it is accurate and use it for planning your team project.)

Important Note

Your online session will time-out after 60 minutes of inactivity, therefore we recommend that responses be written in MS Word, then copied and pasted into the correct field. Save each page of your application. You can always return to your application to complete any unfinished tasks.
A copy of the questions are available through this document. Use it to compose your answers, then copy and paste them into your application.

Your Digital Leadership Academy application account is designed to match you (teacher/applicant) with your nominating administrator and vice-versa. It is important that the Digital Leadership Academy team communicate and share their team application information and completion status.

The application database will join the applicant and administrator sections together. You may return to your application at any time to make changes or revisions until the application has been submitted or prior to the June deadline date. Both applicant and administrator must create an Digital Leadership Academy account.

Find an Existing Application

If you are an instructor/team member who has already started your application or you are an administrator/team member trying to nominate someone who has already started his/her application.

Begin a New Application
(requires Digital Leadership Academy account logon)

If you are an instructor/team member who has not previously started an application and who has not already been nominated by his/her administrator, or you are an administrator/team member nominating an instructor who has not started a new application.

If an application has already been started, do not start another one. Use the applicant's name and agency to find the existing application, or call (916) 228-2580.

All Digital Leadership Academy activities are contingent upon continued funding.
